The Sugar Shack is the definition of a rustic log cabin. Built in 1907, this cabin possesses  the charm that comes from building with work horses, hand tools, and hard physical labor. To this day, it was worth every blistered hand and sore back. This property has a reputation for being a place to kick back, relax, and gather with friends and family.

In the mid 1990's, this property had a major overhaul that added modern comforts. The cabin is primarily heated by an ornate cast iron wood stove. If cutting fire wood is not your thing, there also the option of a gas furness. Maple cabinets line the kitchen walls and a custom live edge table doubles as a place to eat or play cards.

The Sugar Shack is available for seasonal use. The property is fully furnished from cookware to canoes. Because this is a traditional log cabin sleeping quarters are in the main living space and the loft that overlooks the great room.
